For the last 10 years I have been working on my first book. The book will detail the involvement and events of the 9th Infantry Division during the Battles in the Hurtgen Forest area. Not many people know that elements of the division have been involved in the battle continuously between September 1944 and February 1945.

Throughout the years I have tracked down veterans of the 9th Infantry Division, and have been in touch with nearly 800 families. I have been collecting the veteran’s stories, and got access to all their personal documents and pictures. Unpublished memoirs and hard to find books have been donated to me as well. All of these things have been providing the details to add to the vast amount of archival documents that I have been studying for many years.
